CT Wolf Pack vs. NY Rangers

 The first game of February 11^th Game Day featured exciting hockey as Connecticut jumped out to a first period lead on a goal by Tim Jones. New York however, was not about to let CT earn another upset without a fight as they came back and scored two early goals, by Genovese and Miegel in the 2^nd period to take a 2-1 lead. Tim Jones again scored on an assist from Ryan Pelletier to bring CT back to a 2-2 tie at the end of the 2^nd period. The see saw battle continued into the 3^rd period as New York scored on a goal by Teodoro and CT matched it with Tim Jones completing the hat trick on a feed from Kelly Loth, her first point playing in the PNESHL. New York was not finished as Hannigan scored with only a few minutes left to allow New York to earn its first hard fought victory of the day by the score of 4-3. New York’s scoring was very balanced as the four goals were created by assists from 5 different players, Calise, Genovese, Meigel, Szymcznk and Teodoro. New York’s potent offense was stymied numerous times by some outstanding stops by CT goalie M. Messier, as he had 16 saves in his first start of the season.
