League Contacts

The second meeting between the Northeast Passage Wildcats and the Portland Pirates started out much as you would expect a game between two neighboring teams in the PNESHL, very close with lots of contact!

The Wildcats came at the Pirates with a new game strategy that helped keep the Pirates at bay for most of the first period.  However, the constant attack and strong skating of the Portland team finally put one in the net for a 1-0 lead after the first period.  The second period was more of the same, with the Wildcats playing swarming defense and the Pirates looking for a hole in the armor, which they eventually found in the way of a bouncing puck the Wildcats goalie Aguland Luis just could not get a handle on.  In the third the wheels just came off for the Wildcats as they allowed three goals to a very aggressive Maine attack for a final score of 5-0.

The NEP/UNH Wildcat team just wants to take a moment and wish the USA Sled Hockey Team the best of luck in Torino, Italy at the Paralympic Games starting March 10th.  We especially want to wish our own Taylor Chace luck as he competes in his first games!  Best of luck to you Taylor and to the entire sled hockey team…GO USA!!!
