The Northeast Sled Hockey
League (NESHL) was developed in 2005 as means for local
level sled hockey teams from the Northeast to engage in sportsmanlike competition. The NESHL
has included the following established adult teams:
-
·Connecticut Wolf Pack
-
·New Hampshire
Wildcats
-
·Pennsylvania Center-Pedes
-
·Maine
Portland Pirates
(not a NESHL team for the 2007-2008 season)
-
·New York United Spinal
Association Rangers
These teams come together at a
central location for one "Game Day" tournament each month during
the season, which runs from December to March. Game
results are recorded, and wins, losses
and other stats are shared among the teams via this
website. The season champion is awarded based on overall results.
The NESHL
was established solely for the purposes of
organizing competitions for the teams that have agreed
to the considerations of the League,
and for NESHL development and marketing purposes.
The NESHL exists at the discretion of the
participating teams and League
sponsors. It does not represent any governing
sled hockey
bodies, or any entity other than itself. A Board of
Governors and a League Commissioner establish and
implement NESHL policy.
